Event Details

As part of Photomonth 2009, the Screening & Artists’ Talk will complement the online exhibition - Remind Me Where I have Never Been at www.subjectiveshot.com - and explore the nature of photography in experimental videos. The everyday, the overlooked, the awareness of passing time, the self and the other, the familiar are all shared themes in the videos to be projected.

After the screening, artists Vron Harris, Tom Robinson, Yin-Ling Chen and Esther Johnson will talk about what inspires their practices, why photography and why using it (or its idiom) to create moving images. Do they consciously try to engage with the viewer? How do they do it?

This will be an informal talk, open to questions and debate with the audience. The talk will be followed by a live band for everybody to join! Free entry.

Subjective Shot

Subjective Shot is a work in progress, a learning platform, a personal insight into contemporary art.

The online gallery has been created with the commitment to exhibit contemporary art in different media by emerging and established artists. The aim is to position Subjective Shot as the centre of a collective platform where artists and curators alike are excited to exhibit their work and where visitors feel free to express their opinions.
